DR GRANT R BERESFORD BDSC (QLD) HONS
A third generation dentist, Dr Beresford graduated with first class honours from The University of Queensland in 1988, receiving the George Christensen Memorial Prize and the American Dental Prize.
Following his graduation, Dr Beresford worked for the Australian Defence Force as a dental officer, and worked in general dental practices in Albury and Canberra before returning to Brisbane.
Dr Beresford practices all aspects of dentistry, focusing primarily on preventive dental procedures (care being the foundation of our practices philosophy).
PROFESSOR IAN MEYERS
Professor Ian Meyers is a general dental practitioner and honorary professor at The University of Queensland School of Dentistry.
Throughout his career as an academic and clinician he has developed extensive experience in comprehensive patient care, diagnosis and management of worn and broken down dentition, geriatric and aged care dentistry, adhesive restorative dentistry and dental materials, and the management of patients through minimum intervention dentistry.
DR ERICA RYAN BDSC (QLD)
Dr Erica Ryan was born and raised in Ipswich and graduated from UQ with a Bachelor of Dentistry in 2010, winning prizes in General Dental Practice, Oral Rehabilitation and a Dean’s Commendation every year. She also won the Pierre Fauchard Academy Foundation prize in her final year, granted to one student in the Australasian region for excellence in study and leadership.
She has been associated with Brisbane West Dental Group for a long time having worked as an assistant when she was studying. Erica returned to the practice as a dentist in 2017 having spent time working in Ipswich and Redbank Plains. She also spent 2 years working part time teaching at the UQ dental school.
Erica has enjoyed restorative and rehabilitative dentistry over the past decade, and has also developed a passion for paediatric dentistry, throwing herself into as much continuing professional development in the sub specialty as she can to increase her skills and knowledge in the area.
Outside of work she loves spending time with her husband and two young boys, and mountain biking.
DR MICHAEL KENWOOD BDSC (UQ)
Western suburbs born and raised, Dr Michael Kenwood graduated from the University of Queensland in 1988 with academic prizes for General Practice and Paediatric Dentistry.
Having undertaken postgraduate studies in paediatric dentistry, Dr Kenwood maintains that interest through lecturing and clinically supervising in adult and paediatric dentistry clinics over the past twenty years. He is currently the clinical head for final year students at the University of QLD School of Dentistry.
